Horseshoe Bay Resort Classic:

Round 3 Recap

HORSESHOE BAY, Texas - Andrew Dresser (Carrollton, Texas) shot a 5-under-par 66 during round three, for a total of 6-under-par 207 and the lead.

Dresser had six birdies coming in to the 18th hole, where he suffered his only bogey for the day.

Scott McVarish (The Woodlands, Texas) and Ryan Baca (Sugar Land, Texas) are tied for second place at 5-under-par 208.

Dresser takes lead of the Horseshoe Bay Resort Classic from 36-hole leader Shaun Melville (Lubbock, Texas), who is now tied for fourth after shooting a 2-over-par 73 today.

Melville is tied for fourth at 4-under-par 209 with Dawie Van Der Walt (Beaumont, Texas) and Anthony Rodriguez (San Antonio, Texas).

There are two players tied for seventh at 3-under-par 210.

Ryan Nelson (Dickinson, Texas) shot a 3-over-par 74 and is tied for ninth place. Nelson, the defending champion and 18-hole leader, is at 211 for the tournament.

The Horseshoe Bay Resort Classic is hosted at Horseshoe Bay - Ram Rock Golf Course (par 71) in Horseshoe Bay, Texas.

Round four begins Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. Admission is free for spectators.

Dresser and McVarish will tee off at 11:12 a.m. from hole one.

Addressing the Ball

(NEW Change For 2012)

A player has “addressed the ball” when he has grounded his club immediately in front of or immediately behind the ball, whether or not he has taken his stance. Therefore, the Rules generally no longer provide for a player addressing the ball in a hazard.
