Become a Host Course for an AGPTS Event

Hosting an Adams Golf Pro Tour Series tournament is a great way to promote a club and its facilities.  Your course will have the opportunity to host a first class, PGA style professional golf tournament on an annual basis without the responsibility of soliciting players, managing the event or paying out the tournament purse.

The Adams Golf Pro Tour Series works with the host club so that the event has minimal interference on the membership.  The tour strives for the membership to be proud of the weekly events as if they were their own.  We are flexible and work with greens committee to ensure fair conditions for professional competition and course protection.  Plus, the host club gets a tournament exemption offered to the Head Professional or Men’s Club Champion.

We currently host tournaments in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas.  If your course is interested in hosting a golf tournament please contact the AGPTS office at 972-535-0514.

Rule of the Week

Addressing the Ball

(NEW Change For 2012)

A player has “addressed the ball” when he has grounded his club immediately in front of or immediately behind the ball, whether or not he has taken his stance. Therefore, the Rules generally no longer provide for a player addressing the ball in a hazard.
