Deal To Host Official Event on the 2008 Adams Golf Pro Tour Series
April 16th, 2008 -- CARROLLTON, Texas – The
Adams Golf Pro Tour Series today announced they have signed an agreement
with the WinStar Casino and Golf Club in Thackerville, OK. The
agreement provides that the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series will host the
Red River Open at WinStar GC in August. The Red River Open will be
held July 31st – August 2 and will be a 54-hole tournament.
The event will boast a $90,000 purse with $15,000 going to the champion.
“The Red River Open adds another quality
tournament for us in the Oklahoma market,” said Gary DeSerrano,
President of the Series. “We are excited to have the WinStar group step
up and take on an event of this magnitude. It will surely show off the
championship golf course they have by hosting the Adams Series pros.”
The addition of the Red River Open adds to
the goal of the Series management’s commitment to developing the best
Tour for players pursuing a life in professional golf. The Adams Golf
Pro Tour Series, the tour will host 17 events in seven states.
“Partnering with the Adams Golf Pro Tour
should give us a high quality field at this years Red River Open and we
are excited to be apart of their schedule. The players will really enjoy
the golf course; it should be in great shape,” said Russell Bullock from
