Fields will be cut

33% of the starting

whichever is larger.
Any participant
shooting 86 or higher will automatically be cut from the field.
Most events are
walking.
However, there will be a few events where carts will be used due to the
host course terrain.
Tournament Fields:
Full fields for events are
156
players.
Fields will be
extended to 168 during daylight savings time. Fields will be made up of
the first paid 144 players, with members having priority over
non-members, 2 host players, and 10 local qualifiers (if needed). If a
qualifying is not necessary, these 10 spots will be filled with players
on the waiting list (see Tournament Entry Procedures).
Purses:
All 2008 event purses will be 100% of entry fees, with a full field
purse of $105,300. First place will be guaranteed $15,000 at each
event. All professional players making the cut and completing the final
round will receive a check, with minimum check set at $250. (See sample
breakdown below.) The Tour will pay a minimum purse of $75,000 at each
tournament.
Purse Distribution:
Checks will be mailed
to the player’s address shown on the registration form, unless an
alternate address is provided to the Tour Office, approximately
5 business days
following the final round. No check will be sent unless the Adams Golf

Tournament Entry
Procedure:
To enter an event,
all players MUST register on-line through the Tour website,
www.adamsgolfprotourseries.com. There will be a 3% processing fee.
Entries will be taken on a first paid basis, in the following order of
priority.
-
All 2008 Members
-
Professional
Non-members (Space available after 1st Deadline)
-
Local Qualifiers
(See Local Qualifying below for details)
-
Amateurs (Space
available after 1st Deadline)
Each event deadline
is the Wednesday, two weeks before the tournament.
After that time, if
space is available, the field opens to players on the waiting list.
Entries will continue to be accepted, on a space available basis, until
the Friday before the tournament.
No payments will be
accepted over the phone or at tournament sites.
Waiting List
Procedure:
All non-members
registering for events prior to the Wednesday, 2 weeks before the
tournament, will automatically be added to the waiting list.
After that “deadline”, if spots are available, non-members from the
waiting list will be added to the field and their entry fees will be
processed at that time. When a tournament is FULL and a waiting
list is established, members will have priority over non-members.
Again, entries are dated and placed on the waiting list in the order in
which they are received. If a spot opens in the tournament, members
will be filled in first, then non-members, and finally amateurs.
Local Qualifying:
A local qualifying round will be held if, at the deadline, we have 20 or
more players on the waiting list. If a player is on the waiting list, he
will be given the option to participate in the local qualifying round
for one of the remaining 10 spots in the field. The qualifying entry
fee is $150. If a player qualifies, he will be required to pay the
entry fee, less $150, before he is added to the field. Most Qualifyings
will be held on Monday afternoon at the tournament course.
On-Site Tournament
check in:
There is no formal
on-site tournament check-in, however, it is the player’s responsibility
to make sure that his name is in the tournament field. The complete
field will be posted on the Tour website, and at the tour trailer
Tuesday morning. If a player’s name is missing from the field, he must
contact the tour office to correct the mistake; otherwise, he will not
be given a tee time.
Tee Times Procedure:
No tee-time requests will be taken. Official tee times will be posted
by 5pm, Tuesday of the event, at the tour trailer, the host golf shop,
the primary host hotel and the tour’s website. Tee times are not
available at the tour office.
Practice Rounds:
Official practice round days are on the Tuesday before each tournament’s
first round. The practice rounds are free to Tour members. Tour members
will have to pay for a cart, if used, during practice rounds.
Non-members playing in any event will have to pay for a practice round
and cart. Pros are asked to call the host course to arrange tee times.
There are NO PRACTICE ROUNDS on pro-am day.
Pro-Ams:
Top 25 points winners on the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series are
required to play in the pro-ams so that the tour sponsors can play
with the Tour’s top players.
Other players may request to play in the pro-ams by calling the tour
office to be added to the list. If more than the top 25 are needed, the
Tour Director will choose the extra pros from the list, and will post
the pros needed to the website by Friday before the event. A $500
skins game is provided for the pro-am each week. Players will be allowed
to miss 4 pro-ams over the course of the year. Players need to notify
the Tour by Friday @ 5 PM if they need to miss the next week’s pro-am.
There will be no
practice rounds during any Pro-Am.
Player Attire:
Slacks are required
during pro-ams as well as all Tour functions such as junior clinics,
shoot-outs, etc. Slacks are PREFERRED during tournament play but shorts
are allowed. Shirts are to be tucked in trousers. Hats are to be worn
forward. No jeans. No flip-flops are allowed at host facilities.
Amateurs:
The Adams Golf Pro
Tour Series welcomes amateurs to play in its events. However,
professionals have priority in tournament entry, and amateurs are
ineligible to win any prizes. Since the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series is a
professional tour, players are assumed to be pros unless stated
otherwise on entry form.
Withdrawals and No
Shows:
Withdrawals
will be accepted for any reason, without penalty, when notice is given
by 5 PM, the Friday before the event. Players must call the Tour Office
to withdraw. For withdrawals after the Friday deadline, the player
will waive his entry
fee to the tournament.
Medical and personal withdrawals after the Friday deadline will be
evaluated on a case by case instance, and if accepted, there will be a
$100 administrative fee. The player must submit written documentation
to the Tour office within 24 hours of withdrawal, and medical withdrawal
documentation must be on Doctor’s letterhead. No Refund or credit will
be given for any reason once a player has teed off. ‘No
shows’
will not receive a
refund or credit for any reason.
Withdrawals for
PGA/Nationwide Qualifiers:
Players who are scheduled to play in an Adams Golf Pro Tour Series
event, but qualify to play in either a PGA or Nationwide Tour event that
week, will receive a full credit or refund of their tournament entry fee
if they notify the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series Office of their desire to
withdraw by noon on Tuesday.
Rainouts or Extreme
Conditions:
All decisions for
tournaments affected by rain or extreme conditions will be made on a
case-by-case basis by the Tour Officials and the host professional.
Any weather shortened tournament is official only after 18, 36 or 54
holes, with Tour Officials making every effort to complete as many
rounds as possible. Play may be extended to Monday, but not beyond. No
partial rounds will count.
Message Board:
The cork board on the side of Tour Trailer is the official message
center for all events. Any changes in the format or policy will be
posted at the trailer. All players are responsible for information
posted, and are expected to check the board daily.
